About Fairways
I'm Kirsty and I own and run Fairways, a personal, homely boarding cattery offering comfortable, warm and clean accommodation for your precious, furry member of the family.
Cats have always been a massive part of family life for me and I've been fortunate to have owned (served!) 3 since leaving my childhood home. I can't imagine ever being without cats and so it's wonderful that I have the opportunity to care for so many who stay at the cattery. I thoroughly enjoy meeting and getting to know the varied characters and whether a kitten, mature cat or somewhere in between, they all bring something special and keep me smiling.
It doesn't seem possible that the cattery has been open for 12 years now and that Fairways continues to happily serve its long and loyal customers, with thanks. I am always excited to hear from anyone who wants to ensure their cat is well looked after whilst away and even with the many customers who have joined Fairways, it's still important to me to keep the business small, so that I can dedicate plenty of individual loving care and attention, to each of your cherished felines.
I was delighted, that in November 2022, Fairways was again awarded a 5* rating from Thanet District Council, showing that not only does Fairways meet the many standards required to run an animal boarding establishment but it also attains the extra higher standards to earn the 5*s.
Every moment spent with my boarders is rewarding. They each ask for a different care package from me and I'm more than happy to oblige with whatever their needs are, be it plenty of strokes and fussing, grooming, playing or just talking their ears off. I fully appreciate that leaving your cat(s) can be an anxious experience but rest assured, their needs will be met and the appropriate level of care and attention will be provided, leaving you to have peace of mind whilst temporarily apart from them.
I would encourage all new to Fairways to pay a visit before making the decision to book. A visit not only gives you the visual aid in knowing where they are staying whilst you're away but you can make sure that the facilities are right for them and that I'm the correct person to provide their care. During your visit, I like to take the time to find out about your cat so that I can make their stay as relaxing and pleasurable as possible and I will do my best to answer any questions or concerns you may have. To meet your cat's particular needs, I'm more than happy to make alterations to the accommodation where I can and if there is any cat furniture that you'd like to bring along (ie cat trees, tunnels), it gives you the opportunity to check that it will fit.
I'm very grateful to all my customers who have kindly provided important feedback on their cat's experience here and if you have the time, I would encourage you to have a read of their comments. I would also suggest clicking on the 'Gallery' to see the gorgeous photos of my boarders, past and present.
I hope this website gives you plenty of information and if you think that Fairways could be the holiday home for your cat, I'd be delighted to hear from you.
